On behalf of the Organizing Committee, and the International Advisory Boards, it is with great pleasure that I invite you to attend and participate in the Dioxin 2018, a joined 38th International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants & 10th International PCB Workshop (Dioxin 2018). For the first time, the Dioxin 2018 will join two major World symposia on POPs and several exceptional Special Sessions. It will be held in Poland between 26th and 31th August 2018. Dioxin 2018 will host Pre-Dioxin Students Session: “All POPs and Pseudo-POPs” (Moderators: Mehran Alaee and Eric J Reiner) – that will be free of charge for students performing at this session and registered for the Dioxin 2018 Symposium.
There will be a full scientific programme over the five days of the symposium, covering all aspects of POPs and pseudo-POPs science, management and policy integrated into a thematic sessions. Pollutants, compounds and questions of interest for this symposium will be Dioxins & dl-compounds: brominated-, chlorinated- and mixed; Polychlorinated biphenyls & naphthalenes; Pesticides and biocides; Halogenated PAHs and PAHs; Brominated and other flame retardants; Perfluoralkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances; Natural halogenated compounds; POPs & pseudo-POPs; Metalorganic contaminants; Chlorinated paraffins; Environment & pharmaceuticals; Biodetectors for chemical safety of foods, feeds, environment & human; Endocrine disrupting contaminants and Organosilicon compounds.
The Dioxin Symposium will host the International PCB Workshop and four major Special Sessions related to: Biodetection Methods for POPs and Related Food and Environmental Contaminants; European Food Safety Authority Special Session: EFSA Risk Assessments of Persistent Organic Pollutants in Food and Feed; Environmental Persistence, Analytical Methods and Risk of Human and Veterinary Pharmaceuticals that can act as pseudo-POPs; Legacy and Emerging Fluorinated Organic Compounds Update and Progress in Industrial Technology and Sustainable Chemistry to Phase out and Control POPs.
